Went for a cuppa, but she wasn't home.

What a day, Sunday is lovely.  Being a Bank holiday weekend (not just for banks, its what we would call  a public holiday) there were many people out today enjoying the Surrey Berkshire countryside and the River Thames and we were there too!

Again we subconsciously decided to wake again this morning around 5:30 AM, we thought by going to bed later last night it would allow for a sleep in but not as yet, hopefully tomorrow.  After a relaxing morning in the Millard's home we headed off into the country-side close by and explored Runnymede, Windsor and Runnymede RAF memorial.

Runnymede is the location where the Magna Carta was signed.

Windsor was in a buzz, and was great to see so many people enjoying the day. Tony did a fantastic job finding a car park along the side of the river, where we had a short walk and had a lovely picnic of ham and cheese sandwiches.

Unfortunately Elizabeth was not home for a cuppa but we did drop by and looked up her address.
Liz are you home?
After Windsor we headed for the Runnymeade Air Forces Memorial

This memorial was a great testament to the 20,000 airmen from the commonwealth that lost their lives in WW2.

The view was spectacular

After returning to the Millard Estate, Tony performed a quick mow of the lawn and Norma cooked a lovely roast chicken and a pudding (this is actually a Dessert and was apple crumble)

Today was a fantastic day, and tomorrow will bring a new tour guide.
