QF9 part 1

Well the first part of QF9 is over. We have landed in Dubai.
Both Katie and I got to sleep about six hours, we also landed a little before schedule.
I will compare this flight to the Emirates flights we took back in 2012.
The in flight entertainment system does not rate as well as the Emirates. The content is there but it is hard to search and filter what you are after.  The games are slow to load sometimes over a minute.
Qantas only provide one camera from the tail where emirates with the same plane provide tail, nose and directly pointing down cameras.
The snack bar was a little disappointing, it had small packets of Anzac biscuit balls, balsamic vinegar savoury biscotti, fresh pink lady apples, water and small assortment of canned drinks. We were expecting much more variety.
The toilet facilities were always clean, where with emirates there was always water splashed on the floor.
The cabin lighting could be much better. Emirates had a continually changing light and it was unnoticable but provided a sense of sunrise, daytime, sunset and night. Qantas on the other hand pretty much had white light, darkened cabin with a purple light and then white light.  I feel this does not help with jet lag and time zone accustomisation.
