QF9 part 2

How time flies
Well it is hard to believe it has been almost 2 years since we were in London and it will be great to be back there seeing everybody.  I also remember now, we were both certain to never do this journey again without stopping overnight in Dubai. However the pain we feel now won't last much longer we will be on solid ground. Once again the stopover idea will be long forgotten.
A final number of Qantas / Emirates comparisons.
E- most meals were served with rice, and while rice is very, very nice it is also messy in the confined eating area! We were served last a few times and they had run out of the mains. Most meals were a curry and quite spicy, however delicious.
Q- carbohydrates were made up of potatoes, macaroni, etc. Only one meal had rice. Meals were in no way as spicy, and were more English / Australian. In our opinion Qantas wins on meals.
Overall the pros and con's of each airline outweigh each other and if our next booking is between these two then it would come down to the price.
We are currently over Germany just south of Cologne according to the flight tracker with less than an hour to go. The landing at Dubai received a 4 out of 10 on "Katie's scientific scale" for landing here's hoping the London landing is better.
