What do you mean, I can't take photos

Last night we tried a couple of restaurants after performing some Internet research but found them closed, this information was not listed on their websites.
It appears many restaurants are taking this week off in Rome but will be reopening this Friday evening.

In the end, we walked all the way to Ba'Ghetto in the Jewish district where we had a lovely meal with the assistance of our waiter. The menu was quite extensive and we told the man what we liked and he then advised us what would suit.

It was one of those places where the waiter brought out some extras and didn't even charge us. One of these was a sample of grilled zucchini with olive oil and garlic.  This was a cold appetiser and was very nice.

Next was Katie's favourite a Jewish Artichoke, which is different to the Roman Artichoke. The Jewish one is fried where the Roman one is more or less stuffed and boiled.

I had a Kosher Spaghetti Carbonara where the pork was replaced with duck.

We then continued to share a Beef shish kebab which had an olive oil and hummus side.

Finally, we opted for a dessert, Katie once again had a favourite of Tiramisu and I had a tart which was a shortbread base, then topped with candied chestnuts and flavoured cream.

The service was lovely and was matched with great company and delicious food.

We finished the meal with a free serve of minted chai tea from mini shot glasses that were garnished with peanuts, strange but something I would have again.

This morning we went off the main tourist trail and visited Doria Pamphili Gallery on Via del Corso just up from Piazza Venezia.

With the cost of entry, we were provided with an audio guide and were astounded by the lavish residence and amazing artworks. In all, we were there for about two hours and it is well worth the visit.

Throughout the remainder of the morning and part of the afternoon, we wandered the Pantheon area, purchased some items and then returned to the hotel for a rest before our afternoon tour.

What do you mean, I cant take photos...

This afternoon was booked in for a tour of Catacombe di Domitilla, St. Clement Basilica and Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to take any photos in these attractions as it is the policy of each site.

Catacombe di Domitilla, here we went underground an were able to see the locations of where the dead were placed, of which all have now since been removed.  It was cool underground, it was also damp.  Whilst underground we were able to see the looting that was performed in the 1700 and 1800's.

St. Clement Basilica, provided us with the opportunity to pass underground again and see four different layers of Rome, dating back to the first-century B.C.E.

Finally, we visited Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini where the crypt has been decorated with the bones of over 3000 Cappucian monks.
